Ember & Oak opened its doors in the fall of 2019 with a single mission: bring the soul back to the dinner table. What started as a dream between husband and wife Marcus and Elena Caldwell has grown into one of downtown's most-loved dining destinations.
We built our kitchen around a hand-crafted wood-fired oven, shipped from Italy and installed by Marcus himself over three weeks. Everything that comes out of that oven carries the warmth of white oak, cherry, and applewood — flavors you simply cannot fake.
Our menu changes with the seasons because we believe the best ingredient is whatever the local farm is harvesting right now. We work with twelve family farms within 80 miles of downtown, and our relationships with those families are as important as any recipe.
